'Til The Pulse Drops

by Paul Mauled

/

about

Two years ago my 23 year old brother David passed and I still deal with post traumatic stress. It's weird to lose a sibling, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

This song is about an empathetic death who takes souls because it pays the bills. It's poppier than I usually go for... I feel weird about it but it's done and the world should hear it.

lyrics

Sing me your saddest song
I'll harmonize along
Take my hand
We'll leave this wicked place
Through time and space

My career
to choose who goes
a grim grin everybody knows
Your eyes show no fear
As your heart beat disappears

Say goodbye
For the last time
It's gonna hurt
But tonight it just might work

Blades in motion don't stop
til the pulse drops
til the pulse drops

Unpack the bags you tow
Bow for the final show
Take my hand
We'll drift away
Where we'll stay forever

I can hear
The truths you keep
Conversations in light sleep
Your eyes so hollow
From the words you swallow

Say goodbye
For the last time
It's gonna hurt
But tonight it just might work

Blades in motion don't stop
til the pulse drops
til the pulse drops
